During 2021, The Comic Strip and Edmonton's Comic Community lost a special friend. James Kerr was an amateur comedian that participated in our Funniest Person with a Day Job Contest almost every year and was always entertaining making it to the semi-finals every year he performed.

If you ever had the chance to see him performed, you would know the talent he had to make anyone laugh at his material and just being James Kerr. He had a big heart and was always in good spirits. Truly one special individual that can light up any room he walked into.

James will always be missed and will always be in our hearts.

In memory of James with his family and one of his Best Friends, The Comic Strip is having a fundraiser to benefit The Edmonton Kidney Foundation in James's honour. 

We have a great show lined up for all to enjoy and keep James's spirit alive on the stage that he loved to perform on.
